Another shot of calm in noise and crowds. Taken at the University Street Fair. The couple called "Slim Pickens" - make music that is described in a record review - "... resignation of Jacob Landry's ageless vocals and the optimism of Annie Fords' old-timey fiddle" with a link to play a sample of one of their songs Make Me A Pallet On Your Floor. Sales from the record go to the Fremont Public Association. If you see "Slim Pickens" they have their own CDs for sale ($10 in 2005) and I will also be looking for them. (8/12) |
